After the East Turkestan movement renamed itself the World Uyghur Congress, the USA took the Islamist ETIM off its terrorist list and the secular ETAM (East Turkestan Awakening Movement)was founded, there is now a debate in the Uyghur camp similar to that between the Dalai Lama and the Tibetan Rangzen Alliance.
